Warming Herbal Chai by Cositas Bonitas Botanicals

Warming Herbal Chai Recipe

Chai tea is a delicious and seasonally appropriate tea to enjoy in the winter. The warming spices
support your body in maintaining essential heat (read more about why this is important in the
winter energetics blog– add link to blog!). But the only bummer about a classic chai tea is that
the caffeine is not so supportive to your winter energy stores. Unfortunately, excess caffeine can
deplete your vital energy. This is the opposite of what your body needs–always, but especially in
the winter. Winter is a time for you to replenish your energy stores, to help you stay healthy and
energized during energizing spring, and bustling summer.

The cool thing about this recipe is that it uses rooibos instead of black tea. Rooibos offers
fortifying kidney support to help your body maintain strength and vitality. It is also full of
antioxidants.

So, make this lovely, caffeine free tea blend to nourish and warm your winter body.
Meadowsweet carries a similar blend that is made in Missoula by Lake Missoula Tea Company:
Evening Chai!
